So, what happened, you seemed pretty sad when you came through that door. Adam? No, okay, what about Joey? The man nodded, excitedly. Okay, first you need a name, John said as he sat down on a barrel, how about, Charlie? The man shook his head. He let go of the finger and sat the man down. They arrived at John’s home, which was a makeshift fort, with boxes holding up the ceiling that was a bunch of tarps and blankets. Maybe I could figure out a name for him, he thought. John nodded and grabbed his finger to lead him somewhere else. The man covered his mouth and made a hushing signal. You’re saying you don’t have a name! John exclaimed. Name? he whispered softly, but John still heard it. The man scratched his chin, like he had never heard of the word before. H-hey, John said, holding out his hand, my name’s John. The man tilted his head a bit before bending down and poked John’s cheek. John stood up, waiting to see if he would attack. The man paused before dropping him on to the ground. P-please, sir, John said, as he was lifted in the air, please l-let me go! A small gasp was all the man needed to hear, before he stood up and picked up the boy by his shirt. Two big bolts were at the sides of his neck, and he also had hair as black as a raven. John squinted harder and saw he was made from different body parts, sewn on tightly. John hid behind the trash can and stared, as the big man sat down on the steps. There was a big bulky man, his skin had a green tint to it, but it was hard to tell because light was covering his form. John froze and looked up, wondering what being could silence the city creatures.

Nighttime creatures went silent and left in a hurry. The slam was so hard that the door was hanging on the hinges for dear life. He was digging through a trash can, looking for something to eat, when he heard a door nearby slam open. Today, he felt like something big was about to happen. With nothing but his name, and the clothes on his back, he left. He ran away to go on an adventure, like in the books he would read, while there. He had been abandoned at an orphanage when he was just a baby.

John Phillip was a small, thin boy, all though it didn’t help that he was homeless.
